Recently, we started our three-part series on getting the best out of exercise, kicking off with ‘when?’ So today we’ll move onto the ‘where?’ In this blog, we’ll look at the best places for different kinds of exercise, and how it can be beneficial to be picky about where you work out.
If you’re just getting started with the fitness bug, it can be intimidating to begin at the gym. Many gyms see a spike in membership when January comes around, but fast forward a few weeks to February and the numbers have dropped back down. Unless you’re already into fitness, the gym may not be the best place for you.
Exercising at home is a great way for new-starters to get into it. You could buy an exercise video to do in the comfort of your living room, or give an NHS 10 minute workout a go. The brilliant thing about exercising at home is that it’s not intimidating in any way like the gym can be, so it’s an easy way to pick up the fitness bug, and improve your health without leaving the house.
Get in touch with nature and go for a jog, bike ride or leisurely walk. Research bike circuits or walking routes in your local area, and enjoy the great outdoors while you get fit. Once you feel comfortable with the exercise you’re doing, you could find out if there are any clubs in your area that you could join to keep your motivation, and meet some new people!
If you want to make a big change, you could kick it off with a trip to a fitness boot camp. This will help you to get great ideas and tips as well as a fantastic start to your new healthy lifestyle. We may be a little biased, but we think Thailand Fitness Boot Camp is the perfect place to work on the new, healthier and fitter you!
Here at Thailand Fitness Boot Camp, we offer fitness holidays to help you get into shape and begin your new healthy lifestyle. If you would like more information about any of our services, don’t hesitate to contact us on Skype or through our contact page.
